SARAH-JANE REDMOND plays Homicide Sergeant Sheila Kurtz. Redmond was born in Cyprus, Greece, and spent her first 10 years globetrotting with her family due to her father's work. She moved to Canada at 10, and studied dance for six years at Dancemakers Studio in Toronto under Brian Foley. After graduation, she lived in London, England, for a year and was accepted into theater school but chose to return to Canada and studied at the William Davis Centre in Vancouver. Upon graduation, Redmond opened up her own theater company to create work for herself and others, mounting five plays. An agent found her during one of the plays and since then she has been building a formidable resume in acting for film and television. In addition to Da Vinci's Inquest, she also starred in the series Alienated. Her other TV credits include See Spot Run, Call of the Wild, Dark Angel, Smallville, Sight Unseen, Millennium, Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy, Harsh Realm, The Outer Limits and The X-Files and well as the mini-series A Wrinkle in Time. On the big screen, she appeared in;Suspicious River, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and starred opposite Lance Henrickson in The Invitation.
