Sturla Gunnarsson won the Gemini Award for Best Direction for "Bury My Own Bones" Season VI of Da Vinci's Inquest. His recent works include the mini-series Above and Beyond and the feature film Beowulf & Grendel. In 2002 he directed 100 Days in the Jungle, a MOW which won the Gemini for Best Film. The Icelandic-born filmmaker has directed a slate which includes features Rare Birds, Such a Long Journey, and Diplomatic Immunity. His credits for television include "Clean and Simple" and "Pressure Drop" for Intelligence; "When the Horsemen Come Looking" and "Bumped From the Ball" for Da Vinci's City Hall; and episodes for Snakes and Ladders, Zoe Busiek: Wild Card, Scorn, Ricky Nelson: Original Teen Idol, Dangerous Evidence: The Lori Jackson Story, Joe Torre: Curveballs Along the Way, Mother Trucker: The Diana Kilmury Story, and The Diary of Evelyn Lau.
