Laura Lightbown

Laura Lightbown is the CEO of Haddock Entertainment and has worked on Da Vinci's Inquest since its inception as the Executive in Charge of Financing and Producer. She also produced Da Vinci's City Hall and The Life, and executive produced Intelligence.

Laura won a Gemini for Best Made for Television Movie for her work on the CTV movie Milgaard, and her documentary Out of Orbit won a Silver Spire at the San Francisco International Film Festival in 2000. Her producing credits include At the End of the Day: The Sue Rodriguez Story, Diana Kilmury: Teamster, The Body: Inside Stories, Turning Points of History, The Sexual Century, and Carl Bessai's Independent feature Lola, which was shown at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival, the 2002 Berlin Film Festival, and the 2002 Sundance Film Festival.

Her work with Haddock Entertainment has positioned the company as one of Canada's leading independent production companies. Laura Lightbown is a graduate from Ryerson Polytechnical University, and currently has a seat on the National Board of the CFTPA (Canadian Film and Television Production Association) and the CFTPA's BC Branch Council.
